Q: With which certificates comes your products?
ATEX certified items come with an EU Certificate of Conformity.
Upon demand we can provide the ATEX certificate to which it refers.
Q: What is a certificate of conformity?
This document proves that our product has been manufactured according to the norms and requirements as mentioned in the related ATEX certificate. The certificate is signed by the manufacturer.
Q: Do you have a CE certification?
The question is not correct. Such certification does not exist, however our products meet the CE requirements, as is a must for ATEX certified products.

Q: Do you have an IECEX certificate?
Some of the products have, some don’t. The new UltraXL will apply for it.
Q: Do you have an UL certificate?
No.
Q: How are your products packed?
They come individual solid and protective cartons.
Q: What are the weight and dimensions of these cartons?
Please look at the respective products for info.
Q: Where can I find the HS codes?
You’ll find the codes with the specifications.
Q: What about the country of origin?
All our products are manufactured in the EU, more specifically in the Netherlands.
Q: Are your lamps safe for the eye?
Our Ultra3 and UltraXL flood lights are not equipped with one big and blinding LED but with no fewer than 81 LEDS.
This unique feature is very mild to the eye and though their total output is powerful, the flood lights more than meet IEC 62471 standard.
Q: What do you call lightweight when mentioning portable?
Not one of our products weighs more than 8 kg., not even the tripod. That is – as an example -much less than a crate of beer.
Q: Do you have an IP certificate?
IP values are connected or implicated by the ATEX certificate.
We supply “I” certified products, which must have IP5X at least.
The new UltraXL with protection mode “eb ib” which implies IP65.
Q: Do you supply BS certificates?
No. But the Ultra3 comes with the UKCA UK TYPE EXAMINATION CERTIFICATE.
Q: Are your lamps antistatic?
Our floodlights are made of dissipative polypropylene as The Key Differences Between Fixed and Portable Lights..
The lens is not made of the usual polycarbonate, a material which often diminishing antistatic properties but of hardened glass.
Glass cannot build static electricity and is very safe.
Q: You state that the lamps have round corners. Is that important?
Yes, we like to think that the combination of round corners, lightweight and damping polypropylene makes it very hard to cause damage when you hurt yourself or another object with our floodlights.
This is important, for example, with fuselages.
Q: About floating?
Our floodlights float proving that they are extremely lightweight and waterproof. Maybe not important for everyone, but a special safety feature is, that the UltraXL will turn itself and shine upwards – if on obviously.
Q: Can the UltraXL easily be repaired?
Yes. If you manage to break it, contact us.
Q: What about Dangerous Goods and MSDS?
This is only applicable to the UltraXL: a rechargeable lamp with batteries inside.
We, at Atexindustries, can take care that the freight is safely executed.
With the help of SGS the goods are packed and labelled in a safe way, ready for your pickup.
Q: What means ELV.
ELV is short for extra low voltage. This is a voltage below 50VAC or 120VDC.
The use of extra low voltage may be compulsory, especially in confined spaces, hence the use of a transformer – placed outside the .confined space or a rechargeable lamp.
The transformer changes the voltage from – usually – 230V into – usually – 24V.
Q: What are confined spaces?
Spaces with restricted entry and / or exit.
